The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Augusta is seeking a Housekeeper 2 to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities under general supervision. The role includes cleaning, linen handling, and basic maintenance tasks.

Primary duties involve cleaning assigned areas, laundering linens, following safety protocols, and ensuring equipment is stocked and in good condition.

Competenze

• One year of related experience, or one year at Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or equivalent.
• Two years of job-related experience preferred, able to lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.

Job Description:

Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
• Collect, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.
• Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
• Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.
• May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

• Must have some basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning chemicals, and how to operate some equipment used in cleaning
• 2 years of job related experience, able to lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
