Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Service Excellence: Can you deliver high-end service with grace and confidence? You’ll handle orders, communicate clearly with the kitchen, manage timing, and ensure perfect presentation—making sure every element of service is smooth, polished, and aligned with our standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Are you a reliable link between guests, kitchen, and team? You’ll work hand-in-hand with commis, sommeliers, and fellow waitstaff, supporting each other to deliver exceptional service. When the pressure rises, you keep your cool—and lift the team with you.
  • Attention to Detail: Do you notice the little things others might miss? From perfect table settings to refilling glasses before guests ask, you’ll anticipate needs and maintain high standards throughout the entire service. Precision and discretion are part of your natural rhythm.
  • Upselling & Guest Experience: Can you enhance the experience with subtle suggestions? Whether it’s recommending a wine pairing or highlighting a special dish, you’ll use your knowledge to subtly guide guests toward the best possible choices—adding value to both their meal and the business.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
  • Fluent in English & Italian is a must
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality (minimum 1 year) is highly valued, though a passion for service and a natural ability to host are equally important.
  • Hospitality Mindset: Must possess a genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry, with a warm, approachable, and guest-first attitude.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and during special events, as required by the hotel's operations.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong ability to make thoughtful decisions, handle guest feedback constructively, and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are required in line with Aethos scheduling standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Compliance: Adherence to all Aethos Hotel standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures to ensure a smooth and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Team Contribution: Actively seek ways to improve service, enhance team productivity, and contribute to a positive and solution-oriented work culture.
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintain a consistently warm, friendly, and genuine presence while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
