A leading international insurance company in Milan is seeking a Health Underwriter to support the underwriting team with group policies and provide analytical insights. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and 2-3 years of experience in health insurance underwriting. Proficiency in Office 365 and fluency in both Italian and English are required. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on team collaboration and results-driven performance.

Health Underwriter

The position will support the Underwriting team of the Health Technical Area & Sales development within the Health Division. Health division manages Medical Reimbursement, Permanent disability from Sickness and Daily Allowance insurance business for corporate via Agent’s, Brokers and HQ channel. The role is responsible for Underwriting of group policies (SME, Large groups) via Cassa di Assistenza and / or Health funds and / or companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analize policy / insured person analysis (policy Terms & Conditions, guarantees and claims)
• Prepare quotation for both New Business and Renewal
• Portfolio management
• Perform all administrative related activity (i.e. contractual withdrawal letter preparation)
• Follow the end to end process
• Data analysis and reporting activity
• Keep internal process documentation up to date
• Support intermediaries (agent’s and broker)

KEY REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Experience (e.g. 2-3 years in health / accidents insurance underwriting)
• Good communication skills & high attention to the clients
• Ability to work independently as well as engage and interact with different stakeholders
• Results driven team player
• Good analytical skills and excellent attention to details
• Excellent knowledge of Office 365 (esp. mastery of Word, Excel and PowerPoint), basis knowledge of ChatGPT or similar tools
• Fluent in Italian and English
