OTC Medical Devices - Managing national distribution partners

The Sales Director / Head of Sales South Europe, reporting directly to the EMEA Head of Sales, will implement the regional EMEA strategy, translating it into measurable commercial success. They will lead all commercial initiatives, drive operational excellence, and deliver strong financial results. The Sales Director will serve as a key connector between local markets and the EMEA headquarters, fostering growth through leadership and collaboration. Leading a team of two, they will manage relationships with national distribution partners in designated markets (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece) to achieve turnover and profit targets and strengthen market position.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage the annual budget, including revenue and expenses, to ensure profitability and growth.
  2. Maintain relationships with major customers and professional bodies; represent the company at external events to enhance brand awareness and gather market intelligence.
  3. Manage and develop sales and trade marketing teams, oversee all activities in designated regions, and be responsible for regional P&L.
  4. Negotiate and oversee the sales budget to meet turnover and gross profit targets.
  5. Manage legal frameworks governing business relationships with clients.
  6. Identify and develop innovative business opportunities and collaborations for sustainable growth.
  7. Coordinate with marketing and supply chain departments on product forecasting and lifecycle management.

Requirements:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience in a consumer product environment (OTC, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food supplements, infant nutrition, or wellness products).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking and hands-on execution capabilities.
  • Experience in Distributor Management or Key Account Management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
