Overview
As the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will drive revenue and growth by leading both sales and marketing efforts for our digital agency. You will be hands-on in optimizing sales processes, building strategies to generate leads, building partnerships, and managing a high-performing team. With a proven track record in business development within the tech industry, you will work directly with C-level executives, key stakeholders, and decision-makers to help Five Jars reach its business goals and shape its future direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team; motivate the team and ensure alignment with business objectives; set targets, monitor progress, and guide the team to exceed goals; build a development roadmap and refine workflows to improve efficiency.
- Sales: Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives prospecting, lead generation, and deal closing; utilize tools and outbound strategies to identify high-quality leads and convert them into long-term partnerships; drive direct sales efforts including proposal pitching and closing; oversee the sales process from lead generation to negotiation and closing; continuously optimize sales processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition; manage the agency\'s online presence (website, social media, etc.); oversee marketing campaigns across digital channels, events, and trade shows; guide content creation to clearly communicate the company\'s value proposition; lead participation at industry events and align event strategy with business goals.
- Strategic Partnerships & External Relations: Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and vendors; cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders; represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
- Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Create and maintain a department budget and forecasts; conduct regular financial analysis to measure campaign effectiveness; make data-driven decisions to improve ROI on marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on sales experience and supporting marketing activities.
- Based in European timezone, with the ability to travel internationally (USA travel required).
- American visa is preferred, but we can assist with visa arrangements.
- Experience in a software development environment (software development agency, IT outsourcing, web-development, or design agency).
- Fluency in spoken and written English (C1 or confident B2 level).
- Proven success in solo sales within service-based tech B2B companies and in managing sales and marketing teams.
- Proven expertise in sales process optimization, lead generation, and campaign management; experience working directly with C-level executives and stakeholders.
- Experience participating in industry events and trade shows as an exhibitor.
- Technical understanding of web and mobile technologies; results-oriented with strong business awareness.
- Confident decision-maker with leadership ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
