Define and implement the development strategy for BESS projects in Italy.
Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure land suitable for energy storage projects.
Lead the full development cycle of BESS projects, from site identification to permitting and construction readiness.
Establish and manage co-development agreements with local developers.
Monitor and oversee development service agreements to ensure project milestones are met.
Report on portfolio advancement, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence in the Italian market.
Lead negotiations for land acquisition, grid connection, and permitting processes.
Define and implement strategies for project revenues, including MACSE and merchant models.
Build, manage, and mentor a development team to drive the growth of the company in Italy.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in renewable energy project development in Italy, with a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and market dynamics.
Proven track record in site identification, land acquisition, and project permitting.
Strong negotiation skills with experience in securing land deals and co-development agreements.
Optional: Knowledge of revenue strategies for BESS, including MACSE and merchant models.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
Fluency in Italian and English is required; knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus.
