Head of Plant Process Quality & Metrology

We are seeking a highly qualified Head of Plant Process Quality & Metrology to lead and enhance our measurement, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for restoring and exceeding previous quality standards.

What you could expect as a Head of Plant Process Quality & Metrology:

• Manage and oversee all metrology activities, ensuring measurement accuracy and precision
• Implement and maintain SPC and MSA systems to improve process quality
• Lead and train the shop-floor quality control team, consisting of two members, in the proper use of measuring and control instruments
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management
• Manage and optimize laboratory processes, ensuring compliance with international standards and current regulations
• Supervise the team responsible for process quality and related testing, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with quality standards

What we expect from you as a Head of Plant Process Quality & Metrology:

• Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment
• Proficiency in programming coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a Green Belt Six Sigma certification or higher
• In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
• Experience in laboratory management and related processes
• Ability to lead and motivate the process quality team
• Advanced knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans
• Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
• Fluent written and spoken Italian and English; knowledge of German is considered as a plus
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of quality orientation
