Responsibilities
- Develop and implement local procurement strategies aligned with global CLF objectives.
- Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting processes for local suppliers.
- Conduct continuous supplier scouting to identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors that meet quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and innovation targets are met.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., SCM, Finance, R&D) to understand needs and ensure procurement supports business goals.
- Local implementation of processes, standards and tools set by global CLF.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop the local procurement team to build capabilities and drive performance.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Support risk management initiatives by identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
Qualifications
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of commodity market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in tools such as Excel and ERP systems (SAP).
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Results-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and how procurement integrates within the broader supply chain strategy.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
