Job summary

Telethon seeks a visionary Head of Lipid Nanoparticle Core to design, implement and manage a cross‑institute Core at SR‑TIGET (Milan) with regular travel to TIGEM. You will shape a strategic platform supporting internal research and translational programs.

The role requires a PhD in chemistry or related field, 5+ years post‑doc experience in LNPs, leadership skills, and proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and external collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or closely related discipline required.
• 5+ years post‑PhD experience in relevant scientific fields.
• Track record in LNP design, production and characterization; LNP functionalization/CMC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead the Lipid Nanoparticle Core across TIGEM and SR‑TIGET.
• Define operational strategy: workflows, SOPs, quality standards, and resources.
• Recruit, mentor and supervise Core staff.
• Interface with internal units and external partners (academia, industry, tech providers).
• Drive innovation in LNP space and enabling technologies.
