Docplanner is a SaaS tool for doctors and clinics used to optimize their patient flow, reduce no-shows, and digitize their practices in order to be able to spend more time with the patient. We also operate marketplace websites in 13 countries which serve 80 million patients monthly to easily find the right doctor and book an appointment.

• Job Description

You will lead the Legal and Compliance function for the Italian market (our legal entities in Rome and Bologna), and support the rest of the Legal team on international matters, in a fast-growing, young and exciting environment.

• Areas of responsibility
• take ownership of legal, compliance and corporate governance matters relating to the three Italian entities within DocPlanner Group;
• manage and advise on the release of product features or new business lines from a legal / regulatory perspective (ensure compliance with all applicable laws);
• ensure compliance of the Italian entities with data privacy laws and regulations;
• negotiate and manage commercial legal work (contracts for clients, suppliers, partners, website terms and conditions, etc.);
• support the business on the negotiations of legal aspects of M&A processes, strategic partnership, key commercial agreements and other corporate and business development initiatives;
• act as legal business partner to various departments; build strong relationships across the organisation; manage outside counsel;
• partner with HR on day-to-day employee-related matters requiring legal support in Italy, including in relation to senior management;
• manage any litigation and regulatory complaints processes affecting the Italian entities;
• manage and foresee business risks and opportunities by regularly reviewing changes in the regulatory / legal environment;
• support the rest of the DocPlanner Group’s Legal team, and senior management, in the legal.
• Qualifications

If you :

• have excellent communication and drafting skills, both in English and Italian (knowledge of German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish or Turkish a plus);
• have an Italian law degree (qualified lawyer a plus);
• possess 5 / 10 years of experience (indicative only) as a business lawyer / legal counsel, either in a law firm or in-house (tech company experience a plus), having focussed on one or more of the following areas (cross-border experience a plus) : commercial law, corporate / M&A, corporate governance, finance, tech sector regulation, intellectual property, data protection, healthcare sector regulation;
• make quick decisions with good business judgement (balancing both legal and commercial aspects);
• are detail-oriented and well organised;
• are a fire-starter and can clearly demonstrate your ability to be proactive without continuous supervision;
• have strong interpersonal skills;
• are hungry for challenges and seek constant learning / embrace frequent change;
