• Your impact

Amity is growing at a rapid pace, and we are looking for experienced individuals to join our current group of passionate and smart thinkers. We are looking for a Head of Legal who will guide our legal team in achieving daily and long-term goals. This person will be primarily responsible for general legal affairs within the company as well as defining and building the Amity legal function. In addition, this Head of Legal will take on a range of legal work with a focus on commercial agreements, corporate governance, data protection, IP, and strategic transactions. In this role you will be a strategic business-oriented team player and cultural leader for the company. You will be reporting to the CEO and founder of Amity and you will be managing a Senior Legal Associate.

• Advise Amity management and the board on legal issues and implications of the company's entry to new markets, products and development of new strategies;
• Draft, review and approve contracts of all types;
• Review existing agreements, advise on potential risks and suggest strategies to mitigate risks;
• Advise departmental directors on how to respond to legal issues;
• Advise and assist with IP rights and Corporate Compliance;
• Support People department with updating company-wide HR policies in line with local employment law;
• Review and assist with Privacy and Data Protection policies;
• Your ideal profile
• Law degree and previous experience working as a lawyer in an international law firm and within a Head of Legal role;
• Track record of supervision and legal advice;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive and proactive manner;
• Ability to mentor and manage other compliance / legal staff.
