How you'll live your ambition:

As Head of IT Operations Control, you'll join the IT Team at the company's headquarters in Genoa, Italy, reporting to the IT Operations Director.

You will manage the team and the suppliers responsible for overseeing and improving IT Operations internal processes to stabilize, secure, and optimize the performance of our applications and infrastructure systems, avoiding business disruptions both onshore and onboard ships.

  • You will improve event management processes and monitoring tools, collaborating with the IT Infrastructure delivery team and suppliers on capacity planning to meet business demands.
  • You will streamline IT Operations management processes to minimize delays while maintaining control and oversight, monitoring performance through SLAs and KPIs.
  • You will ensure that Operations processes align with the organization's strategic goals and support its overall business objectives.

How? You will use data and feedback from incident, problem, and change processes to identify areas for improvement in IT operations.

You will supervise the budget for the area.

Safety First

You will oversee IT security and compliance operations, vulnerability management, audit controls, and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.

Your innovative thinking and passion for IT systems will lead you to collaborate closely with all parts of the IT Team Operations.

What makes you unique:
  • Previous experience or relevant professional experience (at least 5 years) as an IT Service Manager in large companies and multinational contexts.
  • A degree in Computer Engineering or related scientific disciplines, or comparable experience.
  • Proven management experience of complex IT systems (infrastructures, networks, databases, applications in cloud and on-premise) respecting constraints.
  • Familiarity with key service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management) and monitoring tools.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and focus on customer perspective.
  • Fluency in English and embracing diversity as a global citizen.
  • Sense of responsibility, structured and analytical working style, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
