We’re looking for a visionary and strategic senior leader to head our Management Services Department at EFSA. What you’ll do:

• Lead and empower a team of ~140 professionals across five units (Legal, Finance, HR, IT, Corporate Services).
• Define and implement strategies, policies and services that ensure EFSA’s agility and operational excellence.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to high-level decisions and long-term resilience.
• Manage resources and shape performance management aligned with EU standards.
• Represent EFSA internally and externally at senior level, promoting trust and institutional alignment.

• Team and departmental performance aligned with EFSA’s Strategy 2027.
• Measurable improvements in administrative excellence and service delivery.
• Strong staff engagement, capability building and internal collaboration.

What we’re looking for:

• 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ years in a senior managerial role.
• Experience in at least 2 of the following: finance, procurement, IT, HR, legal, or corporate control.
• Proven ability to lead in international or multicultural contexts.
• Strong understanding of EU institutional and regulatory frameworks.
• High-level behavioural competencies: strategic agility, stakeholder focus, resilience, and communication.
