Head of Construction Location: Milan We are a global leader in the renewable energy sector, specializing in self-consumption and large-scale projects since 2007. Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Construction to oversee our operations in Milan. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, the Head of Construction will play a critical role in leading and managing the construction of large-scale photovoltaic projects. This position will be responsible for driving all construction-related activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all construction activities, including procurement, cost management, scheduling, engineering, logistics, and H&S compliance for large-scale solar projects. Organize and optimize construction workflows to ensure maximum efficiency at minimal cost while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Develop, manage, and track project schedules and budgets, ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources and timely completion of tasks. Oversee the allocation and management of internal resources, including human resources, administration, and technical teams, to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure all construction work aligns with client expectations, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. Supervise all stages of construction, from planning and resource allocation to final delivery, ensuring projects meet or exceed quality and compliance standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent communication and performance excellence. Foster a collaborative, positive, and innovative work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement. Ensure adherence to all quality, environmental, and safety regulations, including waste management practices and the implementation of preventive measures. Oversee the delivery of all necessary documentation, including technical reports and compliance records, to clients upon project completion. Advise and guide clients on best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and reducing risk. Lead new project origination efforts, leveraging commercial and technical skills to support business development and project acquisition. Minimum Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. Native Italian speaker with professional proficiency in English. At least 10 years of experience in construction management for large-scale projects, including 5 years in a leadership role within the renewable energy or solar sector. Strong technical background in solar energy, with significant experience in utility-scale solar construction. Proficient in project management tools, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desirable: Willingness to travel across various construction sites in Italy. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus, though not required.
