Galderma Italy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Legal and Compliance to support its three core business units: Prescription Medicines, Aesthetics, and Dermatological Skincare. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to legal compliance and ethical standards while safeguarding the company's reputation. The Head of Legal and Compliance will work closely with business leaders, providing strategic legal counsel, driving initiatives, managing regulatory matters, and overseeing operations in a fast-paced environment. The individual will also lead cross-functional projects, manage external legal relationships, and shape the company's legal and compliance culture in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to Galderma Italy's leadership and business units.
• Provide legal guidance on the commercialization and launch of Galderma's biologic product, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting business strategies.
• Advise on strategies for launching new aesthetic products or services, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Offer counsel on marketing and sales, including digital campaigns.
• Support review and approval of local HCP/HCO engagement and cross-border activities, following policies and laws.
• Advise senior management on regulatory compliance, competition law, product liability, and contracts, including distribution agreements.
• Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable Italian health regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for staff at all levels.
• Localize global policies and codes, ensuring local adoption and training.
• Perform local risk assessments and monitoring activities, implementing mitigation plans.
• Manage dispute resolution, including legal and HR-related matters.
• Act as industry association contact for legal and compliance issues.
• Provide legal advice related to Legislative Decree 231/2001 as requested.
• Coordinate during internal and external audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with departments like finance, HR, and operations to ensure cohesive compliance efforts.

In collaboration with stakeholders, implement global policies through the Data Privacy Management System and promote awareness campaigns.

• Require 10-15 years of legal experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, or consumer health sectors.
• Admission to the bar is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Italian health regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proven track record in advising on product launches, especially biologics, and navigating regulatory pathways.
• Experience in risk management, compliance programs, and contract negotiations.
• Ability to advise senior management on complex legal issues with agility.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
