Job Description
We are looking for a Head Bartender for our amazing Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia.
The Head Bartender provides knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks including origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintains a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eaux-de-vie, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have a passion for wines and spirits with the ability to recommend and advise guests.
- Ensure proper pouring, mixing, and blending of drinks.
- Handle cashing up procedures.
- Serve drinks to guests, along with filling orders for the Food and Cocktail Servers.
- Supervise the bar service to offer high-quality, efficient beverage service that enhances guest experience and complies with licensing regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and guests to ensure a smooth and memorable experience.
- Deliver five-star luxury lifestyle service experiences.
- Know the menu and products thoroughly; act as the number two on the bar, with every recommendation reflecting your knowledge and experience.
- Lead the bar team in daily duties, supporting the F&B management team with operational tasks.
- Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring, cocktail mixing, and up-selling.
Work Experience:
- Create an attractive atmosphere through service and ambiance.
- Deliver beverages and meals across Food & Beverage outlets.
- Ensure all purchases are processed accurately.
- Prepare and close the bar area daily, including stock management and cleaning duties.
- Respond proactively to guest and management needs.
- Control the bar during service, taking orders, issuing bills, and acting as the lead in the absence of the Bar Manager.
- Coach new bartenders and bar backs, maintaining service standards.
- Assist in stock control and weekly stock taking.
- Manage all bar operations to deliver an unrivaled guest experience, focusing on creativity and authenticity.
- Monitor and ensure guest service standards are maintained.
Qualifications for Head Bartender:
- Relevant degree in Business or Hospitality preferred.
- Minimum age to serve alcohol according to local legislation.
- Personal license desirable.
- Monitor bar opening and closing duties, ensuring standards are met.
- College Degree in Hotel Management preferred.
- Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written.
- EU Citizenship required.
