We are looking for our HR Transformation Practice in Mercer for talented candidates to join as a Manager and Consultant in our Milan or Rome offices.

Mercer’s HR Transformation practice specializes in the HRIS market and provides deep expertise in HCM implementations and change management programs. Our experienced team guides clients through every stage of the implementation lifecycle and process redesign to achieve optimal results.

In this role, you will work on HCM projects across various sectors and industries. Specifically, you will:

For the Manager:

  • Lead complex, international implementation projects on various HCM solutions;
  • Co-develop HR transformation roadmaps and assess digital feasibility for clients;
  • Lead diverse project teams including architects, developers, operations, business analysts, and vendors;
  • Manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies;
  • Oversee project budgets and financials;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and scope management;
  • Ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are met.

For the Consultant:

  • Develop expertise in digital HR solutions;
  • Prepare business cases and technical evaluations for HR IT systems;
  • Analyze and improve HR processes;
  • Design delivery models for HR services;
  • Advise clients on HR transformation and system selection;
  • Map and optimize HR processes in collaboration with HR advisory teams;
  • Implement client requirements into HR IT systems and support post-go-live data management;
  • Execute project delivery aligned with strategic guidance;
  • Develop client reports and analyses with minimal supervision;
  • Learn Mercer’s tools and methodologies;
  • Support proposal development and business growth;
  • Collaborate with other Mercer practices in HR consulting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ HCM experience for Managers, 2 years for Consultants;
  • Experience and certifications in Workday and SAP SuccessFactors preferred;
  • Proven experience in HCM consulting or digital transformation roles;
  • Strong understanding of HR systems architecture and data flow;
  • Passion for innovation, process re-engineering, analytics, and technology trends;
  • Experience managing teams and vendor relationships;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Results-oriented with attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multitasking and complex situations;
  • Native Italian and proficient English skills required.
