A leading poultry producer is seeking a Hatchery Manager in Trento, Italy. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing a team, and ensuring high-quality production of day-old ducklings. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in poultry management, excellent communication skills, and a relevant degree. Accommodation and a company van are included to facilitate the role.

The Company : A producer of poultry products.

The Job Role : We are recruiting for a Hatchery Manager to join a well-established poultry business.

Salary + Accommodation + Company Van

Key Responsibilities :

Organising daily work schedules and managing a team.

Manage daily deliveries, egg inventory, incubation, transfer and equipment.

Manage and drive performance to achieve high-quality day-old ducklings.

Manage daily production data and report at the production meetings.

Manage maintenance issues and preventative maintenance with the maintenance team as required.

Enforce the Hatchery code of practice.

Performance management throughout the process from egg receiving to dispatch of day olds to our growing farms.

Liaise with the supply farms and growing managers on egg and day-old quality.

Ensure all bio security measures are always adhered to.

Performance of other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Skills and Requirements :

Previous hatchery experience is desirable.

Experience in poultry is essential.

Ideally a degree in poultry, animal science or another related field.

Health and welfare experience within poultry.

Experience in disease management within poultry.

Ability to be flexible and respond to a changing environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to prioritise and work at pace to complete tasks effectively.

Driving License.
