Job summary

UPPER is seeking an Automation & Electrical Systems Engineer for its Sabbioneta site. This hands-on role focuses on PLC automation, electrical systems and production machinery to ensure continuity and reliability of lines.

You will report to the Head of Plant Engineering, develop and troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with suppliers to implement improvements in energy efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

Hands-on PLC programming and electrical systems experience in industrial environments.
Ability to design and modify electrical schematics and control panels.
Experience with PLC safety and field troubleshooting in a 24/7 line

Responsibilities

Program and troubleshoot PLCs, primarily Siemens TIA Portal and Omron.
Develop and modify HMI/operator interfaces for production lines.
Design and update electrical schematics and control panels.
Diagnose faults and downtime using PLC analysis across machines.
Support electrical maintenance with automation problems.
Work on machinery for sensors, components and control equipment; upgrades and commissioning.
