The role involves designing training for unskilled workers, analyzing current training material, and ensuring adherence to ISO standards. Handling & Logistics Training Engineer Professional - Taranto

As a Training Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in developing and improving the Training material for wind turbine blades handling and Logistics. You will have a keen focus on modern training systems and materials, including process vision or digital enabling systems.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize training material within the Handling & Logistic process
  • Analysis of AS IS and future state of our training material and systems
  • Create Process Roadmap and plans for future states
  • Define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed by others
  • Standardization of generic layup training materials
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility
  • Investigating and solving training issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using Lean tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality

Education:

  • Bachelor of manufacturing engineering or alike level
  • Train the Trainer or other training education

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of developing training material mainly for unskilled workers
  • Training of shop floor employees
  • Planning of training - for up to 100 persons
  • Developed / defined functional training material for employees with a short or long education

Essential skills:

  • Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats
  • Working with engineering managers, and subject matter experts to co-develop content for functional training material
  • Ensuring training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies
  • Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and e-learning tools
  • Gathering input from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs
  • You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
  • Data-Driven Decision Making, use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams
  • You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
  • You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
  • Be an integral part of cross functional product development projects
  • You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
  • You are committed to learning
