An established industry player in the insurance sector is seeking a Group & Statutory Reporting Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role involves preparing comprehensive financial reports in compliance with IFRS and local regulations, actively managing accounting estimates, and liaising with the foreign parent company. The ideal candidate will bring 4-5 years of relevant experience, a strong grasp of insurance accounting, and excellent communication skills in English. Position: Group & Statutory Reporting Specialist

Location: Milan, Italy

The selected candidate, integrated into the Group & Statutory Reporting team within the Administrative Department, will be responsible for:

  1. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages (IFRS and French GAAP) for the parent company;
  2. Participates in the management of accounting estimates;
  3. Submits quarterly and annual reporting packages to the parent company following the reconciliation of submitted sheets;
  4. Prepares the local financial statements (ITA GAAP) for tax calculation purposes;
  5. Actively manages relationships with the foreign parent company.

The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of experience in the accounting department of an insurance company (claims) or at least 3 years in an auditing firm serving insurance clients. They possess excellent knowledge of insurance accounting and sector regulations such as IVASS, as well as accounting standards both locally (OIC) and internationally (IFRS). A good command of the English language is also required. The person will report to the Head of Accounting.
