The resource will work in an international context and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the UniCredit Group's Network infrastructure. They will coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while ensuring the highest service KPIs for the business.

What you'll be doing

1. Implement and Manage the Group network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Data Center, and Cloud connectivity) based on business and technical requirements.
2. Lead and Coordinate a team of internal/external infrastructure engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise.
3. Deliver Network Projects and Programs, including budget planning and control.
4. Enhance and Support Group network operations, driving automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, especially through the implementation of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) platforms and ITIL processes.
5. Support Onboarding of Public Cloud Services, migration of on-premises applications and data to the cloud, and reengineering of existing services.
6. Define Guidelines and Best Practices for Network Infrastructure and Distributed IT solutions. Document network infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures.
7. Implement Security Measures to safeguard the network from external and internal threats.
8. Engage with Service Providers to provide and optimize existing and new connectivity and collaboration services and contracts.
9. Manage Integration of Collaboration Tools with enterprise communication systems, ensuring seamless and efficient communication across the organization.
10. Stay Abreast of Emerging Technologies and assess their applicability to the organization according to the Digital Strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Proven Experience in managing LAN, WAN, SD-WAN solutions, Data Center Connectivity for efficient and flexible network services, as well as international networking backbone for complex organizations.
2. Strong Understanding of network infrastructure technologies, advanced routing protocols, and service configurations to optimize network performance.
3. Experience with Public Cloud Services, migrating on-premises applications to the cloud, and consolidating complex data center footprints.
4. Expertise in Configuring and Troubleshooting collaboration tools such as video conferencing, messaging, and unified communication platforms.
5. Ability to Lead technical experts across different countries, ensuring effective collaboration and project delivery.
6. Ability to Document network and collaboration infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures.
7. Willingness to Adapt to evolving technologies and occasional travel to support global operations.
8. Fluent in English.

Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven Experience in similar roles and organizations as a technical lead.
3. In-depth Knowledge of networking protocols, security, and best practices.
4. Certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent are highly desirable.
5. Experience with Cloud-Based Solutions.
