Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy developer, investor, and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 15 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind, and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.

We are looking for our new Group Communication Manager to build our group communication function from the ground up, by developing and executing a communication strategy supportive of Galileo’s objectives. Reporting to the CEO and working directly with the leadership team, this person will shape the company’s narrative, build the positive attributes of Galileo in the energy transition, and grow the appreciation of the company as a partner, corporate citizen, and employer. The position is based in Milan, with the possibility of hybrid remote working.

What you’ll do :

  • Develop and implement a corporate communication strategy towards all stakeholders that showcases Galileo’s achievements and future vision effectively;
  • Lead and execute communication activities across digital and traditional channels, including content creation, event management, website, and LinkedIn oversight;
  • Act as an internal advisor for the leadership team, providing strategic communication insights and innovative ideas;
  • Build and foster a communication culture within the Group, empowering colleagues to improve their communication skills;
  • Manage and evolve Galileo’s brand identity, updating brand positioning, guidelines, and materials, including overseeing branding activities at the subgroup level post M&A;
  • Adapt the communication strategy for local markets, ensuring tailored actions support local development where needed;
  • Manage partners, suppliers, and the communication budget.

Requirements

What you’ll need :

  • At least 6 years of experience in communication, with increasing responsibilities in strategy and execution. Experience in the energy or infrastructure sector is a plus;
  • Experience in institutional communication, including for listed companies;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and relevant communication tools;
  • Ability to adapt to diverse work environments, from small startups to larger corporates;
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and passion for the energy transition;
  • Be at the forefront of Galileo's developments;
