Thales Alenia Space in Italy seeks a System Engineer/Architect – Telecommunication E2E Systems for Ground Tools and Ground Segment analyses. You will design, analyze and verify end-to-end systems across the life cycle, focusing on performance, link budgets and signal analyses to support space missions.
Requires a Master’s in Engineering or Physics and 2–4 years RF experience; excellent English; willingness to work at Customer premises in Vigna di Valle for up to 50% of days.

To provide specialized engineering expertise in the frame of E2E systems and Ground Segment sub-systems and components, in terms of design and analyses, in all phases of a space project life cycle, from design specification to manufacturing, integration, verification phases, up to operations.
The role will be focused in the frame of E2E systems and processed payloads with focus on definition of Ground Tools aimed to improve E2E performance (e.g. interference detection, mission planning, signal analyses, …).
Expertize in the frame of Secure TTC systems is a valuable asset as well capability to define SW requirement and to validate SW products.
He/She perform System / Subsystem Performance Analyses with the aim to finalize breakdown to components requirements (e.g. Link Budget, BER evaluation and code correction performance, Coverage Analyses and pointing Loss, Linearity and distortions, Phase Noise and phase jitter simulation, switching stack probability, resource assignment and Mission Planning simulation, …)
