An important entity in the space field is seeking a Ground Station Engineer to design and validate satellite Ground Stations. This role involves reviewing documentation, integrating hardware systems, and participating in acceptance phases. Candidates are expected to hold a relevant engineering degree and possess skills in RF communication systems, IP networking, and Linux. A proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility are essential.

Description

On behalf of an important entity operating in the space field, we are looking for a Ground Station Engineer.

Background

• University degree preferably in Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering
• Design and validation of satellite Ground Stations

Skills

• Experience designing and building RF communication systems
• Competence in IP networking concepts
• Working knowledge of Linux operating system
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Integration and testing of hardware systems
• Experience with RF, electrical, and networking test equipment (spectrum analyzers, vector analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Field support experience
• Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory
• High motivation, proactive working approach, and strong sense of responsibility

Tasks

• Review Ground Station documentation related to design, procurement, production, integration, and installation
• Participate in Ground Station acceptance phases
• Support the Ground Station remote acceptance phase
• Understand Ground Station design, including software aspects
• Understand the Remote Ground Station services
• Assist the GS AIV team with Ground Station integration activities

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in relevant engineering fields
• Experience with RF communication system design and hardware integration
