A leading company in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Project Manager to oversee grid connection works. The role involves supervising processes, managing contractor relationships, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in engineering and experience in the Italian grid connection process, preferably with knowledge of HV substations and renewable plants.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management of grid works.
• Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience in constructing HV substations and grid works with E-distribuzione is preferred.

Mission

• Follow-up the connection process with grid operators: Supervise the grid connection process, providing technical advice and strategic direction to the Development Team.
• Support the preparation of tender processes for grid interconnection works, including establishing scope of work, reviewing responses, and selecting contractors.
• Develop effective relationships with potential contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Qualification of contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Evaluation of offers and follow-up in the tendering process: Support the preparation of contracts to ensure works are executed according to METKA-EGN’s requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments (finance, legal, technical, procurement) involved in project assessment, due diligence, or implementation.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and techniques to optimize grid connection solutions.
• Estimate costs and schedule activities for grid interconnection works.
• Review Quality Control Plans and Inspection Points for EPC/subcontractors.
• Perform site surveys and audits during construction: Manage and supervise engineering and construction of grid connection works, coordinating with project managers and site engineers.
• Participate in relevant phases of commissioning.

Profile

• BSc / MEng in Civil and/or Electrical Engineering; MSc considered an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management of grid works.
• Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience in constructing HV substations and grid works with E-distribuzione is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Italian Grid Connection Process and TICA is an advantage.
• Experience in renewable plants (solar, wind, batteries) construction is a plus.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD.
• Working experience in Italy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
