A leading EPC and O&M provider is seeking a Grid Connection Engineer based in Latina, Italy. In this role, you'll manage the grid connection process, liaise with stakeholders, and support both internal and external relations to ensure compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering background, proficiency in English and Italian, and at least five years of relevant experience. This position offers autonomy to shape the department and work on exciting projects across Europe.

Grid Connection Engineer

Leading EPC & Operation and Maintenance Provider
Latina- 3 days a week in the office

A leading Pan-European EPC and O&M provider is looking for a crucial addition to thier techncial engineering team. You'd have a great opportunity to work between the Italian engineering team and the German techncial group, working on industry leading projects.

The company
The company currently works across 6 countries across Europe, providing late stage support across solar and BESS projects at utility scale. In Italy alone, they have over 190MW in O&M stages across a team of over 40 employees. This group supports on both designs and techncial engineering work, but also field based operational services. Their work covers both new EPC building of solar parks, repowering old assets and operations and maintenance of existing assets. Their portfolio also consists of solar and BESS.

They have a strong culture across the entire group, but a local subset to the culture in the Italian team. They aim for high quality and are all passionate about contributing towards net zero. They are open, friendly and all work closely together. They are really looking for somebody who can join and add their own personality to this culture also.

The role:
This position has lots of potential within the group. You'd be the sole contact for all responsibilities within the grid space, and have lots of authority and autonomy to shape this department in the direction you'd like. You'll be reporting to both the Head of Engineering based in Germany, and also the CTO in Italy.

The main responsibilities include:
- Managing both external and internal stakeholders through the entire grid connection process.
- Supporting on new and exisiting grid connections with both TERNA and ENEL.
- Working closley with local agreements and legislations, staying on top of any changes to processes.
- Working closley on bidding phases, engineering and technical specifications
- Working closley with local suppliers and authority bodies.

What we need from you:
- A strong level of English and Italian, to at least working proficiency.
- Experience in agreeing and managing grid connections.
- Electrical Engineering background.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
