A leading golf facility in Tuscany is seeking a skilled Greenkeeper to join the agronomy team. Responsibilities include performing advanced turf maintenance, operating equipment, and supporting irrigation system management. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in golf course maintenance and strong attention to detail. Meals are provided during work hours, and staff accommodation may be arranged. A full-time contract in accordance with Italian labor laws is offered.

Located in the heart of Tuscany, Tenuta Toscana represents one of the most scenic and technically advanced golf facilities in Europe. The course is maintained to the highest international standards, providing an exceptional playing experience for members and guests.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Greenkeeper to join the agronomy team at Tenuta Toscana. As a senior team member, you will be responsible for executing advanced turf maintenance practices with precision and consistency. Greenkeeper III positions are ideal for multitask experienced professionals who are passionate about golf course conditioning and eager to work in a world-class, high-performance environment.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Perform advanced turf maintenance tasks including mowing, rolling, topdressing, aeration, and bunker maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain a wide variety of specialized turf equipment with precision and care.
  • Execute course setup duties such as cutting cups, moving tee markers, and maintaining playing surfaces to tournament-quality standards following specific SOPs.
  • Support irrigation system maintenance, hand-watering, and moisture management as directed.
  • Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and plant protectants under supervision, with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
  • Identify and report turf health issues, pest or disease concerns, and equipment problems to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of work areas and contribute to overall course presentation.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior crew members as needed.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and contribute to a culture of environmental responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in golf course maintenance, preferably at a high-end or championship facility.
  • Proficient in operating turf maintenance equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, sprayers, and tractors.
  • Strong knowledge of turf care practices and standards for elite-level conditioning.
  • High attention to detail and pride in work quality.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak golf seasons.
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems and moisture management practices.
  • English and Italian language skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate to Tuscany.
  • Full-time contract in accordance with the Italian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL)
