Position

We are looking for a Green Energy Analyst!

Brief Description Of The Role

As Green Energy Analyst, you support Atlante’s global green energy strategy through recurring reporting, market intelligence, volume forecasting and risk management. You track energy markets across Southern Europe, forecast volumes and monitor the exposures of the energy portfolio, turning trends into clear insights for the Central Green Energy Team and the country teams. You manage the settlement of the energy contracts handled directly by the Central Green Energy Team and provide the analyses and recurring reporting that support energy decisions on the charging and storage network.

Value Creation

You create value by helping Atlante anticipate market and technological developments across Europe, through timely, accurate and reliable recurring reporting and volume forecasting. Through your analytical capabilities, you strengthen the team’s ability to monitor the energy portfolio and its exposures, evaluate opportunities and support the integration of renewable solutions. By managing the settlement of the contracts handled by the Central Green Energy Team, you ensure accuracy in the team's commercial obligations. Your contribution supports Atlante's competitiveness in sustainability, cost efficiency and innovation, and keeps decision‑making within the Green Energy team data-driven, including the administrative handling of CO₂ mechanisms and Guarantees of Origin.

Core Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update recurring energy reporting (daily, weekly and monthly), ensuring data quality and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor energy markets across Southern Europe — prices, volumes, industry trends and use cases — turning different sources of information into valuable insights for Atlante.
  • Develop and update volume forecasts for the charging and storage network, monitoring forecast accuracy and explaining deviations against actual data.
  • Manage the settlement of the energy contracts handled directly by the Central Green Energy Team.
  • Support risk management activities, calculating and monitoring the exposures of the energy portfolio in compliance with company risk policies.
  • Maintain and update company tools, dashboards and reporting tools, supporting their progressive automation.
  • Support the operational management of the CO2 credit mechanism as per RED III and ETS regulations and the administration of Guarantees of Origin (GOs).
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in the role, ideally within a utility, energy trading or energy services company.
  • Good understanding of European energy markets: prices, market mechanisms and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of risk management fundamentals: risk policies, VaR, portfolio exposure and key risk metrics.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a critical approach to reading data, spotting anomalies and explaining deviations.
  • Advanced Excel and familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI); SQL or Python is a plus.
  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
  • Fluent English and Italian. Knowledge of other foreign languages (French, Spanish, Portoguese) is a plus.
Nice to have
  • In-depth knowledge of e-credits, CO₂ credits (RED III, ETS) and Guarantees of Origin.
  • Knowledge of hedging and fixing mechanisms for medium- to long-term energy portfolios.
  • Experience in energy management of BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) and PV (Photovoltaics) projects.
  • Experience in the energy department of an e-mobility operator.
  • Experience in volume forecasting and/or settlement of energy contracts.
Other information
  • Area of responsibility: Green Energy
  • Geographic scope: Head Quarter
  • Reporting to: Global Green Energy Manager
  • Location: Milan office - hybrid remote
  • Gross Annual remuneration: starting from Euro 38.000,00 according to experience, plus benefits

This announcement is addressed to both sexes, in accordance with Law 903/77 and Legislative Decree 198/2006, and to people of all ages and nationalities, in accordance with Legislative Decrees 215/03 and 216/03
