Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT in Rome, Italy, seeks an Associate Team Leader for the Grants Management Unit to coordinate day-to-day operations and supervise team members, ensuring donor compliance and efficient grant administration.

The role covers grants and subgrants administration, IT systems liaison, and reporting, requiring strong coordination, data management, and English communication; Italian work authorization is required and the initial contract is one year with possible

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a field relevant to grants management or similar.
• Typically 4+ years of progressive experience in grants and subgrants management in international settings.
• Experience coordinating a portfolio of active grants and subgrants across the lifecycle.
• Experience reviewing donor agreements and ensuring compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate day-to-day team activities and supervise team members on complex operational matters.
• Manage a large portfolio of grants and subgrants, ensuring donor compliance and internal procedures.
• Provide inputs to improve regional workflows, maintain GMU ERP and Power BI dashboards.
• Monitor team performance and support objective setting and annual reviews.
• Liaise with regional coordinators to align with global priorities.
