Position Responsibilities

Set up and operate various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricate and modify parts for machine repairs, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and machining procedures. Assist students with manufacturing prototypes, collaborate with R&D teams, and supervise shop activities. Maintain shop order, equipment, and safety standards. Perform machining operations, interpret drawings, and work with CNC equipment. Design and construct tools and fixtures, perform fitting and assembly, and collaborate with engineers on new designs. Conduct inspections, welding, finishing operations, and manage shipments. Report to the ME Shop Manager and perform additional duties as assigned.
