Location and Role Details: This position will be based in Amazon Operations centre in Genova. Please note that the role is on-site. Relocation support will be provided as needed.

Role Overview: As an Area / Shift Manager at Amazon, you will lead a large and diverse team to ensure your area keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves managing operations, driving productivity, and collaborating with colleagues to address challenges. No two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels, meeting business objectives across all shifts
  • Support and lead a team, handle administrative tasks, and foster a strong team culture
  • Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
  • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes

A Day in the Life: You will work shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on safety standards and process efficiency. Your daily tasks include team management, operational troubleshooting, process improvement, and contingency planning. You will work with colleagues across teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets, analyzing data and performance metrics, and discussing technical improvements with engineers.

About the Team: Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last mile delivery, working with third-party distribution. We aim to provide a smooth delivery experience and innovate with services like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants. Our team is people-focused, supporting night shifts and operating 24/7 in most locations. We also work with Amazon Flex, our network of delivery contractors, to continually improve customer experience and reduce our carbon footprint through innovative vehicles and technology.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
