Every day, Agilent Field Service Engineers help our customers solve issues that enable scientists to make discoveries that enhance the quality of life. Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep laboratories running smoothly and more efficiently. You will be responsible for supporting our clients with onsite installation, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of customer training on our gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC / GCMS).

Your main responsibilities will be :

  • Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Contact customers in a timely manner and schedule service efficiently.
  • Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Maintain Agilent's customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately.
  • Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing, or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered, using the complaint handling system as required.
  • Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during, and after service.
  • Work remotely with travel to customer sites in Emilia-Romagna and especially around Bologna (a company car will be available).

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with the following background :

  • A completed university degree within the last 24 months in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar.
  • At least hands-on experience (internship, university project, or first position) with gas chromatography solutions (GC / GCMS).
  • Full proficiency in Italian and a good level of English.
  • A valid driving license.

On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing, and customer-oriented. You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team to solve various problems. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners.
