Please note that this position could be based in any Amazon Operations center across Italy, depending on availability and business needs. Location preferences will be checked during the recruitment process.

The role is on-site, with relocation support provided as needed.

As an Area / Shift Manager at Amazon, you will lead a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves learning about complex global operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will implement your team's approach to drive productivity and collaborate with colleagues to address challenges, making each day unique.

Key job responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure high quality and productivity, meeting business objectives across all shifts
  • Support and lead a team, handle administrative tasks, and foster a strong team culture
  • Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
  • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes

A day in the life

You will work shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on maintaining safety standards and process efficiency. Your daily tasks include team management, operational tasks, escalations, process improvements, and contingency planning.

You will work with colleagues and external partners to meet customer demands and targets, analyzing data and performance metrics, and discussing technical improvements with engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree (Bachelor's or Master's), completed before start date
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language
  • Experience in data analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications are not required but are a plus:

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders, peers, and leadership
  • Experience in logistics environments
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
