  • Please note that this position could be based in any Amazon Operations center across Italy, depending on availability and business needs. Location preferences will be checked during the recruitment process.

    When you join Amazon as an Area / Shift Manager, you will gain experience leading a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role involves learning about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. You will implement your team’s approach to drive productivity and work closely with colleagues to address challenges, making each day unique.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
    • Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure high quality and productivity, meeting business objectives across all shifts
    • Support and lead a team, handle administrative tasks, and build a strong team culture
    • Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
    • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes

    A day in the life

    You will work shifts at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be maintaining safety standards within your team and across your site, and monitoring process efficiency. Your days will include managing routine team and operational tasks, handling escalations, working on process improvements, and contingency planning.

    As a key member of the operations team, you will collaborate with colleagues and external partners to meet customer demands and targets. This involves analyzing data and performance metrics with business leaders and discussing technical improvements with engineers.

    Qualifications include a university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) completed before the start date, advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language, relevant experience in data analysis, and experience communicating with stakeholders. Experience in logistics and working with MS Office is also preferred.
