Go-To-Market Manager – Italy

Following our strategic entries into Southern and Central Europe, we are now establishing our local footprint in Italy—a market with strong EV potential, a digitally engaged customer base, and a highly competitive automotive landscape.

Position Overview

As the Go-To-Market Manager – Italy, you will drive all aspects of Changan’s product and brand launch activities in the Italian market. You will serve as the central orchestrator between HQ and local execution teams, ensuring that each vehicle line is introduced with a high degree of commercial readiness, customer resonance, and operational alignment.

You will define launch strategies, adapt messaging, coordinate cross-functional teams, and shape the full-market activation of our EV and hybrid offerings in Italy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Launch Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the Italian customer profile and regulatory context.
  • Localize brand positioning and product messaging to reflect Italian consumer values and cultural context.
  • Lead cross-functional planning for new model launches—ensuring pricing, positioning, and campaign elements are market-fit and on time.

2. Sales & Marketing Enablement

  • Equip local sales teams, dealers, and leasing partners with the tools, training, and messaging needed for successful rollouts.
  • Partner with marketing to activate local lead-generation, digital campaigns, and experiential test-drive programs.
  • Continuously optimize GTM performance based on market data, customer feedback, and dealer input.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the interface between central product/marketing teams and local partners (dealers, agencies, fleet operators).
  • Own launch readiness plans—including digital assets, showroom materials, POS systems, and retail training.
  • Align stakeholders on critical timelines, performance KPIs, and customer experience expectations.

4. Market Intelligence & Optimization

  • Track local competitor actions, regulatory developments (e.g., MOVES III program), and mobility trends.
  • Provide feedback loops to HQ on offer structure, channel strategy, and positioning refinements.
  • Collaborate in the continuous improvement of the Italian customer journey—from awareness to conversion to loyalty.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry, ideally within an OEM or importer environment;
  • Proven track record of launching new products in the Italian market, especially in EV or hybrid segments;
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners (dealers, agencies, leasing firms).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Commercially strategic, execution-driven, and highly collaborative;
  • Deep knowledge of Italian sales channels, consumer behavior, and automotive regulatory frameworks;
  • Skilled in market localization, campaign execution, and go-to-market project management.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
