Thales Group in Pavia, Lombardy, Italy, seeks a Software Real Time & Embedded Engineer to design, implement and test scalable embedded solutions for aerospace and telecom devices.

You will work in a DevOps/Agile environment, balancing hardware interactions with high-level functionality, and contribute to robust, secure software across embedded OSs such as Linux and VxWorks. Collaboration across cross-functional teams and international assignments is encouraged.

As a Software Real Time & Embedded Engineer, you will design, implement and test scalable, high-performance embedded solutions for aerospace and telecom devices. You’ll work in a DevOps/Agile environment, balancing low-level hardware interactions with high-level functionality. You’ll contribute to robust, secure, and efficient software across embedded OSs and real-time platforms. This role offers exposure to diverse devices and a global, innovation-driven mission.

• Experience with embedded OS such as Linux, VxWorks, FastOS Linux
• Familiarity with performance measurement tools and instrumentation
• Knowledge of communication protocols/interfaces (e.g., DDS, ARINC)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and automation tools (Helm/Yaml/Ansible/Docker)
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
