Job summary

Thales Alenia Space in Milano area is seeking a Digital Electronics Engineer with a Master of Engineering and substantial experience in digital electronics. You are a true team-player with autonomy, rigor and a proactive can-do mindset to deliver compliant, customer-friendly solutions.

You will contribute to digital PCB design, architecture definition, and collaboration with production and procurement to create cost-effective solutions while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

• Develop hardware plans, test means and schedules and execute tests.
• Create testing procedures and maintenance for digital electronics equipment and components.
• Collaborate with production and procurement for cost-effective digital solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Support estimates and bids preparation.
• Monitor design costs, quality and time against targets.

LIFE AS A THALES DIGITAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING ROLE

• Design and maintain high quality digital solutions in electronic engineering in accordance with customers’ needs and processes to meet project operational requirements
• Deliver solutions compliant to customer, business and derived requirements
• Participate in the definition of the architecture and the allocation of functions
• Support the preparation of technical statements of work for equipment suppliers and management of equipment subcontractors
• Support the preparation of hardware plans, development of test means and test schedules and their execution
• Create testing procedures and maintenance for digital electronics equipment and components
• Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture digital solutions
• Ensure digital electronics systems, instruments and equipment meet applicable regulations and safety standards
• Provide support to the preparation of detailed estimates and bids
• Monitor compliance of designs against target costs, quality and time
