Job Summary:

The Global Sourcing Project Manager within the Dover Global Sourcing Europe organization is responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with Dover operating companies' objectives for both direct and indirect materials. This role requires strong project management skills, strategic sourcing expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, cost savings, and quality improvements.
  2. Manage sourcing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring milestones and objectives are met.
  3. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, service levels, and contractual agreements.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including supply chain, operations, finance, and legal teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  5. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in supplier markets.
  6. Track and report key performance metrics for suppliers and sourcing initiatives.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
  8. Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.
  9. Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier performance.
  10. Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing, supplier risk management, and cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industry-specific sourcing, e.g., manufacturing technology, industrial conglomerates.
  • Familiarity with sustainable sourcing and ESG principles.
  • Experience managing international suppliers and global supply chains.
