Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Shipping Support Intern to assist with shipping, logistics, and documentation for domestic, intra-EU, and international transactions. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate shipment execution, documentation compliance, invoicing activities, and customs-related operations in a global, inclusive environment.

This internship offers exposure to global supply chain processes and supports continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, International Business, Languages or related field.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer domestic, intra-EU, and international shipments.
• Prepare and issue shipping documentation (delivery notes, packing lists, shipment markings).
• Assist with customer invoicing processes and related administrative activities.
• Prepare transportation documents including CMR documentation.
• Support the issuance of credit notes and debit notes.
• Manage certificates and declarations of origin for goods.
• Request and verify customer advance payments when required.
• Maintain fiscal, shipping, and compliance documentation electronically and physically.
• Collect and verify proof of delivery documentation for customers in the EU.
• Support export and import customs activities and related documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with logistics providers, customers, customs agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient shipping operations and document compliance.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
