Overview

The Global Scientific Service Medical Manager operates in the Scientific Service, within the Global Medical Department. The Scientific Service is responsible for the correct scientific information addressed to Healthcare Professionals and relating to the medicinal products marketed by the Company.

The Global Scientific Service Team reports to the Global Scientific Service Medical Lead.

Workplace: Firenze.

Expected travel: 10%

Main Activities & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities of the Global Scientific Service Medical Manager are the following:

-review and approve, based on the medical scientific literature and the requirements of the relevant regulations (mainly EFPIA Code of Practice and EU Directive 2001/83/EC):• Scientific Information materials and activities produced by the Global Marketing and Medical teams, addressed to Healthcare Professionals;• Scientific Information materials and activities produced by the Global Marketing and Medical teams for International Congresses;• Scientific Information materials on Medicinal Products marketed in EU and extra-EU by the Affiliates in the Group;

- within the scope of the Scientific Service's competences:• collaborate with the Global Medical Affairs and Global Marketing Dept;• provide training to the Global Medical and Global Marketing Teams and to colleagues from the EU and extra-EU Affiliates;• supports the Global Scientific Service Medical Lead during inspections or audits.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Medicine, preferably with Specialization (areas of interest Cardio-metabolic, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases/Microbiology, Allergology, Pain);• Previous experience in a Pharmaceutical Company Scientific Service, Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance (preferred but not essential);• Knowledge of written and spoken English;• Good skill in reading, analyzing and summarizing medical-scientific publications and clinical trials results;• Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Attitude for collaboration and teamwork;• Competence in the use of operating systems (Office, Excel, PowerPoint), digital and social media.
