ITT Inc. seeks a Global Quality Engineer Lead to drive quality across Motion Technologies. You will build plant/product knowledge and gain hands-on customer and operations exposure.

This is not a local role; you will travel up to 50% and engage across sites. Fluent English is essential; Italian knowledge is a plus and relocation may be considered.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, process or related).
• 4–5 years in Quality Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in automotive or regulated industries (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

What is your role?

AsGlobalQuality Engineer Leadyou will build strong MotionTechnologiesplant and product knowledge, gain hands‑on customer and operations exposure.

This is not a standard local quality role. It is a structured for a globally Quality professional who is ready for a demanding experience involving plant immersion, frequenttravelandcustomer exposure.

During the assignment, you will combine hands‑on plant work, quality system experience, product/process learning, customer‑facing activities, and global projects. Over time, you will move from technical learning to practical ownership, building the confidence and capability needed for a broader international Quality role within ITT.

Responsabilità essenziali

• - Learn MotionTechnologiesproduct families, manufacturing flows, process constraints, critical characteristics, customerrequirementsand plant quality routines.
• - Support operational quality activities linked to production, validation of new products/processes/equipment, containment actions,problem‑solvingand shop‑floor quality discipline.
• - Support compliance with ITT Quality Management System requirements and applicable standards— especially IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• - Contribute to quality documentation and governance: procedures, control plans, audit readiness, correctiveactionsand standard work.
• - Analyze customer requirements, critical characteristics, manufacturingflowsand quality risks; define or improve controls and escalation routines.
• - Monitor and report quality performance indicators, trends, non‑conformities, customer issues, and improvement actions; translate data into practical recommendations for plant and functional leaders.
• - Support internal and external audits (preparation, execution support, evidence collection, follow‑up actions, and lessons learned).
• - Spend 60–70% of the assignment in plants or plant‑related activities, includingtravel (possible up to 50% of the time)
• -Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured methods (e.g., 8D,5Why,shikawa/Fishbone) and lessons‑learned reviews.
• - Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Program Management and Operations on:
  • -quality improvement initiatives
  • - validation of products/processes/equipment
  • - traceability projects
  • - launch readiness and process stabilization
• - Support customer visits, customer communications, issuereviewsand follow‑up actions under guidance of MotionTechnologiesQuality leadership.
• - Contribute to product/process knowledge sharing across plants and Value Centers to standardize best practices and critical quality controls.
• -Participatein project‑management activities tied to quality improvement, customer requirements, production readiness, and cross‑plant standardization.

Requisiti di posizione

- Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Engineering(preferably Mechanical,Electrical, ProcessIndustrial, or related); alternatively, a strong technical diploma in Electrical/Electromechanical disciplines with relevant quality experience.

- 4–5 years in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, ProcessQualityor related technical quality roles

- Experience in structured industrial environmentswitha preference for Automotiveindustry (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA); also considered: pharma, aerospace, industrialmanufacturingor other regulated and process-driven sectors,where documentation discipline, deviation management,validationand process control are critical.

- Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems, non‑conformity management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, process control, and quality KPIs.

-Experience incustomer‑specific requirements, audits, and launch quality.

- Experience in cross‑functional projects involving Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain,Purchasing, Program Management or Customer Quality.

-Full willingness and practical ability to travel extensively, spend extended periods in our plants,working across multiple sites, cultures, customers, or functions.
