Global Product Manager (Global System Architecture)

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB’s offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. You will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer, supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The work model for the role is #LI-Hybrid. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings division located in Vittuone (MI), focusing on System Architecture, specifically on Protection devices. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, considering competition and new market opportunities.
  • Owning technical and market specifications for the offer and developing a business plan that supports sustainable growth, based on customer needs and value analysis.
  • Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on obsolescence and end-of-life to meet market requirements and maximize profitability.
  • Setting targets, monitoring offer costs, and coordinating with operational functions to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

Qualifications for the role
  • Inclination towards innovation to translate market trends into future portfolio and technical requirements.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or Product Marketing.
  • Enhanced knowledge of low voltage energy distribution products, applications, and solutions.
  • Strong leadership through influence, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and result orientation.
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Fluent in English communication.
