Clivet SPA is seeking a strategic and proactive Senior IP Engineer to join our Milan office. You will bridge R&D teams and external legal counsel, shaping and protecting our technology through patents and trademarks.
Own portfolio strategy, lead patent mining sessions, manage external counsel, review drafts, conduct prior art searches, and mentor junior IP engineers while traveling internationally.
Competenze
- Master's degree in Engineering or Physics required.
- Minimum 5+ years in an IP-focused role, in-house or at a patent firm.
- Solid command of EPC and PCT procedures; familiarity with trademark filing systems is a plus.
Mansioni
- Lead patent mining sessions with R&D labs to uncover patentable inventions.
- Serve as primary contact for external patent firms; brief and review drafts for accuracy.
- Review patent applications and responses to patent offices to ensure protection of core technology.
- Conduct prior art searches and develop technology trend reports to guide R&D roadmap and mitigate infringement risk.
- Manage global IP portfolio, track deadlines, and advise leadership on maintenance, abandonments, and licensing opportunities.
- Monitor external legal spend and optimize vendor relationships.
- Provide technical support during oppositions, appeals, or litigation.
- Coordinate trademark filing, monitoring, and lifecycle renewals globally.
- Mentor and develop junior IP engineers.
