Job summary

UNICEF is seeking a data analytics consultant to support the Global Effectiveness Review (GER) as part of the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan implementation. You will conduct analyses to assess progress at global, regional, and country levels and identify performance gaps that inform adjustments in programmes and budgets.

The role requires experience in data analysis and trend analysis, with proficiency in statistical software and data visualization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in data analysis, trend analysis, research, and evaluation.
• Experience with statistical software and data visualization tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive data analysis to assess progress against UNICEF's Strategic Plan 2026-2029 at global, regional, and country levels.
• Perform trend analysis on child-related outcomes and relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) progress.
• Critically assess the role of strategies, enablers, accelerators, and key shifts in driving measurable impact for children worldwide.
• Identify performance gaps and recommend approaches to accelerate impact at scale.
• Generate insights and findings to inform the Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the Strategic Plan and Integrated Budget.
• Collaborate with the UNICEF Strategic Planning and Analytics (SPA) unit within the Office of Strategy and Evidence - Innocenti.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and recommendations.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analysis process.
• Support the development of evidence-informed adjustments in programmes, strategies, and approaches.
