Norman Broadbent PLC, a leader in executive search, is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to appoint a Global Head of Engineering & HSE.

The company operates a Pan-European platform, developing, manufacturing, and supplying high-quality, affordable medicines to over 100 million people in Europe. It has four manufacturing sites and a network of external partners to ensure supply security. The company focuses on therapeutic areas such as Cardiology & Circulation, Diabetes, Oncology, Respiratory, CNS, and is expanding its self-care portfolio. It is privately owned, experiencing sustainable double-digit growth, with plans for further expansion across Europe.

The Global Head of Engineering will execute strategies aligned with Product Supply objectives and will be a key member of the Product Supply Leadership Team, contributing to strategic and operational excellence.

The role is based in Europe with travel required; it is not necessary to be based at the company's headquarters in Central Europe.

Main Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and implement a global engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
• Drive process, technology, and practice standardization worldwide.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Product Supply Leadership Team.
• Integrate HSE into all engineering activities, ensuring compliance and leading sustainability efforts.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee engineering performance, assets, supply reliability, maintenance, and automation.
• Ensure facilities and equipment meet safety and efficiency standards.
• Lead multiyear CAPEX plans and global projects.

Innovation and Technology

• Promote Industry 4.0 adoption and automation advancements.
• Drive innovations for efficiency and sustainability.

People Development

• Build and lead high-performing global teams.
• Develop career plans and foster growth.
• Ensure availability of SMEs for support.

Sustainability and Value Creation

• Optimize resources for cost, quality, and compliance.
• Lead environmental impact reduction initiatives.
• Maintain site master and recapitalization plans.
