Latham & Watkins is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to join the Office of General Counsel. The role covers global AML and sanctions compliance, with offices in Milan, London, Manchester or Madrid, and a potential hybrid/office-based schedule.

The candidate will support global compliance programs, lead initiatives, and liaise with regulators, clients, and auditors while advancing the firm’s finance crime compliance agenda.

Competenze

• A law degree from an accredited law school.
• Qualified as a lawyer admitted or otherwise professionally qualified in England & Wales or another jurisdiction with firm offices.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ post-qualification experience in financial crime compliance.
• Experience leading global compliance projects in a large international law firm.

Mansioni

• Monitor compliance developments in jurisdictions where the firm operates and update programs.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulators such as OFSI.
• Support AML strategic plan and related projects for the OGC.
• Assist with ad hoc compliance programs (e.g., DAC6, criminal offences).
• Prepare responses to inquiries from clients, vendors, regulators, and auditors.
• Review contracts for compliance terms and provide legal analyses.
• Assist audits and regulatory inquiries from internal/external bodies.
