Hitachi Energy seeks a Global Fire and Explosion Safety Specialist to lead the BU Fire and Explosion Safety Program and guide cross‑functional teams on safety standards. You will assess prevention systems on facilities, equipment, and tools, and implement strategic safety measures across locations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in an engineering field with a Fire and Explosion safety focus, 8+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering with a specialization in Fire and Explosion safety.
• 8+ years in relevant functions with strong knowledge of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API and NFPA.

The Opportunity

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, with a specialization in Fire and Explosion safety.
• Over 8 years of experience in relevant functions. In-depth understanding of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API, and NFPA requirements.
• Experience in defining and conducting Fire and Explosion safety inspections and audits.
• Proven ability to collaborate with insurance companies on Fire and Explosion prevention.
• Strong technical safety knowledge and experience in risk review for capital projects related to Fire and Explosion safety.
• Willingness to travel globally (10-20% time), and fluency in English.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

• Italy: starting from 52,700 gross annual salary
• Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
