Global BD Excellence Sr Manager - Factory Flow

Job Description Summary

This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, highly motivated, and positive individual to become an active member of BD’s global Operational Excellence (OPEX) community.

As the Global BD Excellence Senior Manager, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Global BD Excellence, you will be passionate about fostering a culture of operational and customer excellence, implementing change, and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) across the network through the BD Excellence program.

This role involves applying LEAN production and CI principles, methodologies, and tools to optimize performance in quality, delivery, cost, and safety.

Main responsibilities:

1. Coach factory teams on BD Excellence, focusing on benchmarking and developing a zero-loss approach to optimize quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
2. Develop and enhance capability in safety, quality, and reliability, guiding sites to focus resources on priorities.
3. Coordinate the deployment of BD Excellence components and develop capability to meet long-term CI objectives.
4. Support site delivery of multi-year cost-to-win programs by building problem-solving capabilities and eliminating factory losses.
5. Coach on continuous improvement methodologies, especially Lean Workplace and Factory Flow.
6. Assist in defining and tracking the Factory Flow and Lean Workplace Roadmaps, realizing savings in logistics and labor productivity.
7. Lead Kaizen events and assessments to improve performance and realize solutions.
8. Support site leadership in creating strategic visions and aligning KPIs.
9. Help develop standards and best practices within Lean Flow centers of excellence.

About You

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma; Black Belt certification preferred.
3. Manufacturing leadership experience in a multi-site, multicultural environment.
4. At least 3 years of operating a production system, recognized as a Production System practitioner.
5. Knowledge of BD Factory Flow and Lean Workplace tools and methodologies.
6. Willing to travel up to 70%. Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
