Vertiv seeks a Global Application Engineer – Thermal System to join our team in Piove di Sacco, Italy. You will support and promote the complete Thermal Chain from Power generation to heat reuse, integrating systems with data centers and on-site power generation.

You will perform thermal calculations, develop literature and tools, and collaborate with product managers to study market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Strong English skills and HVAC expertise are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering is preferred.
• Solid understanding of data center thermal management and HVAC technologies.
• Strong problem solving, data analysis, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer focus.

• Prepare and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, competitive comparisons, and other sales enablement tools and collateral.
• Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and workshops/training sessions (WT)

We are currently seeking a Global Application Engineer – Thermal System to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy !

Vertiv is seeking a highly motivated Global Application Engineer – Thermal System, to support the development and promotion of the complete Thermal Chain from Power generation to heat re-use.

In this role, you will support and promote data center reference designs by integrating Thermal Systems with power grid or on-site power generation, and perform project-specific calculations to advance and promote the overall thermal system offering.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of technical experience in product or service roles preferred.
• Experience data center thermal management or in air conditioning HVAC technologies is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude to translate customer needs and pain points into effective solutions.
• Ability to integrate diverse products into cohesive, solution-oriented systems.
• Proven skills in problem solving, data analysis, and project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer focus with a commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs-
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)-
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy is between 40.000€ to 50.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensationis determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

The applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for this role is Metalmeccanico Industria.
